  • GB Running Back #32
Lloyd is still working through the nagging hamstring injury that bothered him throughout camp. Fellow backup running back Emanuel Wilson, who was questionable with a hip injury, is active. He will serve as the backup to Josh Jacobs. Green Bay’s thin running back depth should ensure an elite workload for Jacobs in his first game as a Packer.
  • GB Running Back #31
Wilson logged three straight limited participant designations this week and will likely alternate with rookie MarShawn Lloyd behind starter Josh Jacobs. Wilson cannot be trusted to return fantasy value, playing at less than 100.0 percent, with all three RBs active
  • GB Tight End #85
If Kraft cannot go, starter Luke Musgrave would be in line for a handsome snap share. Kraft was a limited participant on Wednesday and Thursday, so we’d expect him to play, barring any setbacks. Still, this will be something to watch when inactives are announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
  • GB Running Back #32
Lloyd finished the week with a pair of limited participant designations after failing to practice on Tuesday. The news is ultimately a positive after Lloyd spent so long rehabbing the issue, but he is unlikely to handle his full complementary workload behind starter Josh Jacobs at this point. He is best left on fantasy benches.
  • GB Running Back #32
The Packers were traveling on Wednesday and did not practice, so Lloyd’s status is only an estimation. Still, it gives him a shot at practices tomorrow and suiting up for Week 1. With AJ Dillon out for the year, Lloyd could be a change-of-pace backup to Josh Jacobs out of the gate. Fellow backup Emmanuel Wilson will likely split the RB2 job with Lloyd to start the year given how much time the rookie missed in the offseason. Lloyd is purely an upside-based stash in redraft leagues.
  • GB Wide Receiver #87
Doubs told reporters he suffered a contusion in his hand and is taking it day by day. He was limited in Tuesday’s practice and Wednesday’s session was just an estimate as the team spent the day traveling to Brazil for their Week 1 opener versus Philly. Thursday’s session will give us a clearer picture of Doubs’ status. If he can’t go, Dontayvion Wicks would step into a starting role and immediately be a high-ceiling FLEX option for fantasy purposes.
  • GB Running Back #32
After practicing the last two days, Lloyd was relegated to the stationary bike during practice on Tuesday. Lloyd himself said he “was taking things day by day” and needs to “just play it smart” in regards to getting back on the field with his teammates. The rookie claims he’ll be ready when his number is called, but his practice status on Tuesday makes it seem less likely that will happen this week.
  • GB Running Back #32
Lloyd’s early-week participation is a great sign regarding his Friday night availability. The Packers’ team website promisingly lists Lloyd in the No. 2 running back spot despite the hip and hamstring injuries he battled this summer. We will continue monitoring news for usage-related comments from the coaching staff.
  • GB Running Back #8
Jacobs says he declined to sign with the Chiefs, along with the Broncos, Bears, Cardinals, Dolphins, Giants and Texans. Jacobs’ statement perhaps most profoundly applies to the Chiefs’ starter Isiah Pacheco. The Chiefs’ front office allowed Jerick McKinnon to walk this offseason, publicly praising Pacheco’s three-down and scoring-position potential while adding only UDFA Carson Steele to the mix through the preseason’s conclusion. The Chiefs then signed pass-catching specialist Samaje Perine on Wednesday, in what was thought to be a likely depth-related move. The Chiefs’ prior pursuit of Jacobs, a capable three-down player, casts a slightly different light on Perine’s signing though; the front office may be less comfortable with increasing Pacheco’s receiving usage than it appeared for much of the summer. While Pacheco should still be viewed as a locked-in fantasy football RB1, his range of outcomes is now slightly wider than it was a week ago.
  • GB Kicker #47
Interesting. Narveson was released despite an impressive preseason that including hitting a game-winning field goal against the Seahawks and a 59-yarder in that preseason bout as well. The 25-year-old is now the only kicker on the roster, so barring another move, it appears Narveson will be the guy handling the tries for Green Bay to begin 2024. There’s a big leg here; notable for those who get extra points for longer makes.
